thank you for visiting my blog!
In Susan Puleo’s art collection entitled “Faces of Color”, simplicity of common word evokes a global language. The dichotomy of her eye-penetrating pieces and fluidity of description in their titles offer a vastness that can only be interpreted through the complexity and originality of the human mind. As can be most accurately put, a colleague of Puleo’s stated, “There is much in this work that you don’t recognize, but the gestalt is obvious in many of the pieces. The work is original, creative, powerful, and expressive. It is primitive in its strength, but neither manipulative or amateurish.” As you will undoubtedly see, each piece speaks its’ own voice that transcends our own-selves and reveals the gateway to a universal culture of beings.
Puleo’s inspiration for her work is accentuated clearly through her own rounded experiences of the vastness aforementioned. Whether it be an award winning and internationally-revered architectural designer of mega yachts, or founding instructor of Fine Arts for the gifted and talented at a junior high school in Greenwich, CT, Puleo offers the warmth of her personality, the volume of her determination, and one of the truest embodiments of what she describes as a global language. To have woven these elements together into one representation proves definitively the magnitude of talent Puleo radiates.
